Blabla

He is retarded. Leaving aside the more than obvious tendency to experience the highest satisfaction and happiness of falling in love and being loved by that same person (assuming the climax of this process, obviously), we are clearly goal-oriented and feel rewarded by the relativization of the difficulty to reach a concrete objective and our basal/default capacity to reach it. The rest of the variables that affect satisfaction are more obvious. Like sex (in itself affected by many variables), food (same), social interactions (same), normative valued behavior (same), etc. His idiotic counter example is stupid because: 1) A great physique doesn't keep you happy per se. There is a psychobiological tendency to feel satisfied when doing sports and improving (remember what I said about being goal-oriented creatures and the relativization), but the final satisfaction behind having a great physique is related to internalized norms like (for example), the importance of being c...

1) You don't need digitalisation to preserve misguided and false information. There are all kinds of dumb theories, ethics, traditions and whatnot that have been preserved for centuries or decades, such as phrenology, geocentrism, hedonism, bullfighting, homophobia, etc., and many had access to them and were influenced by them after their origins. Even nowadays or right before digitalization. The difference in any case is that nowadays anybody has quick access to alternative, more consistent and better theories, explanations and/or can be quickly confronted publicly in any digital social context if he/she expressed antiquated and illogical theories outside the mentioned small circle/social group where all the individuals of the same group confirm their own BS. In any case, long term preservation of info =/= lack of selection. These don't go necessarily together, and preservation also helps to improve from individual or collective mistakes. For instance, flat Earth the...

but even if I were using his latest DMC4 clip (which is around 20 RTs and 50 likes, nonetheless made by "regular DMC players"), it would still prove that he is  valued  and  noticed , and saying "people don't care at all" would still be wrong. If you mean  this one , I am pretty damn certain that it would get like 2 times or more if Kyo or Turtle posted something like this. "But what if these 130+ people really knew about Lloyd's behavior?" They would have a poor awareness and empathy. I am not even saying Lloyd shouldn't get the same visibility as punishment, but as a sign of not considering irrelevant his wrongdoing. If someone does something wrong, the most moral act would be to try to correct such actions, educate him, etc. Acting like if nothing has changed in his behavior is less universable, as it makes a positive change even less likely. Because most experienced players reaches the 100 likes every time where one might barely ge...

You provided as counter example one of the best combos, if not the best combo of Lloyd with 136 likes to prove he is valued and noticed , from one of those periods where he was behaving well (or at least not fucking up). But in general, the most of his stuff doesn't get nearly the same amount of retweets and likes as other prominent and good players (keeping in mind Lloyd's level and base amount of followers, before his nonsense was more public). That is  just from what some western players and memebers in the community in general know, which is far from everything. And understanding community as usual players/members. Not every DMC meme-addict (or creator), lore theorist, etc. Obviously, usually prominent and/or reputable players have more followers. This means that if out of a sudden Turtle, you and others completely stopped supporting me because of X reasons, the core of my visibility would be badly damaged, because the rest of my foll...

The Misunderstood Greatness of DMC.

Some weeks ago a tweet from Feyntan caught many people's attention: While I can understand how such tweets may sound pretentious to some people and even upset them, it's still not a good excuse for condescending and nonsensical comments like this one: What's actually wrong with this type of comments, besides the passive-aggressive tone and trying to discredit some people calling them  weeb ? The mere fact that DMC and Platinum are somehow in the same or similar category spoils it to a certain degree in this case. Such people  don't really understand what makes DMC great , and  assume   that it's only or mainly because of  how it looks . But what really makes DMC good isn't just  looking cool  and the visuals. We don't play DMC for years just because of its flashiness. We could be perfectly just watching action movies or combo videos from FGs or other games. They are a big factor, but it's mainly the interaction betw...

Introduction. We definitely weren't using  deserve  in the same way and I understood  warrant  differently the first time (I edited my reply like 1 hour after posting it though). However, if you mean  justified  morally, I could only agree with you if we were talking about some type of totally unavoidable reflex, which it isn't; and/or it was the most efficient response, where I have serious doubts. I consider that we may have significantly different versions of the word  hate  too. I am going to at least clarify that, if we make a rough dichotomy of  hate  as  Feeling Only  vs  Feeling and Behavior related to it  (like hating and not doing anything or just explaining your criticism/analysis of the game vs hating and insulting, for example), I consider the second one properly wrong. The first too, but in a less drastic way, and mainly as (probably) not the most useful feeling for oneself...
